ZEITSTRÄHNE ‘89

As I work a lot with human hair, my mother-in-law, who grew up in the GDR, gave me a strand of hair that she cut herself off in 1989. I used part of this strand to replace the hands of a wall clock & weather station made in the GDR.
I develo­ped this performance sculp­ture for my produc­tion WAENDE – Der Schluss­strich, which premie­red in Chemnitz in 2022.

Da ich viel mit Menschen­haar arbeite, schenkte mir meine Schwie­ger­mut­ter, die in der DDR aufwuchs, eine Haarsträhne, die sie sich 1989 abschnitt. Mit einem Teil dieser Strähne ersetzte ich die Zeiger einer in der DDR gefer­tig­ten Wanduhr & Wetterstation.
Ich entwi­ckelte diese Performance Skulp­tur für meine Insze­nie­rung WAENDE – Der Schluss­strich, die 2022 in Chemnitz uraufgeführt wurde.
