Europe‘s shirt is a white unisex business shirt from which a large white flag emerges at the level of the heart. The connection point is sewn with red thread in an eye-catching and sturdy manner and refers to the veins of the heart. The text „Je suis qui je ser ai / Ich bin, wer ich sein werde / I am who I shall be “ is embroidered all around the collar with blue thread, as well as golden stars, in keeping with the European flag. As a symbol of the multifaceted and conflict-ridden European Union, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012, I have created a shirt that embodies an existential longing for peace and at the same time makes you think of everyday office life. The shirt and flag form a tense relationship for the performance, as the large swinging of the flag through the application on the shirt has a direct effect on the performer‘s body. The actions took place in front of the European Court of Human Rights and in the European Parliament, among other places.

Europas Hemd ist ein weißes Unisex Business Hemd, aus dem auf Höhe des Herzens eine große weiße Fahne entspringt. Die Anschlussstelle ist mit rotem Faden auffällig und stabil vernähnt und verweist auf Aderverläufe des Herzens. Auf dem Kragen ist mit blauem Faden rundherum Text eingestickt: “Je suis qui je serai / I am who I shall be / Ich bin, wer ich sein werde“, sowie goldene Sterne, gemäß der europäischen Flagge. Als Symbol für die vielgestaltige und konfliktreiche Europäische Union, die 2012 den Friedensnobelpreis bekam, habe ich ein Hemd geschaffen, das existentielle Friedenssehnsucht verkörpert und zugleich an Büroalltag denken lässt. Hemd und Fahne bilden für die Performance ein Spannungsverhältnis, da ein großes Schwingen der Fahne durch die Applikation am Hemd, sich direkt auf den Körper des Performers auswirkt. Die Aktionen fanden unter anderem vor dem europäischen Gerichtshof der Menschenrechte und im Europäischen Parlament statt.
